Classical Animation!

Well, apparently you need to click on the images to see the animations at work. So says Blogger.My original character, The Phantasm. Unfortunately, I don't have a capture station at home, so I have no (knowing) way of completing the drawings in this animation. He walks, though!

Digital Paintings

Some paintings I did in Adobe Photoshop. Colour palettes I used for the paintings have been left on the images to show how many colours I used.

Composite Image

A compositing assignment for my Digital Painting (DPT) class.
The following are the original images (before I composited them together):

I seem to be missing the third image (the forest background). Aside from that, there's a 3D model in the final composite. I'll let you see if you can find it.

The single most painful assignment I've ever done.

A tree. Yes, a tree. Oh, but not just any tree, no. A tree done entirely with the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. Every. Last. Tiny. Branch. I wanted to break something by the time I finally finished it. The different colours and such were done in Photoshop, as part of the assignment to show how colour affects the mood of an image.

Computer Graphics

These are all assignments from my Introduction to Computer Graphics (ICG) class.A surrealistic field. I like the clouds in this one.
Black and white image colouring assignment! It's incomplete, but I think that's a good thing, to show the contrast between colour and the original black and white. I'm particularly proud of the ground.
Had to replicate an image of Calvin from the comic Calvin & Hobbes. This image was done in Adobe Illustrator using ONLY the pen tool.
Another Adobe Illustrator image of Sync from the video game Tales of the Abyss, once again done ONLY with the pen tool. It was slightly painful at times, being restricted to only one tool.
A digital painting of a wasp done in Adobe Photoshop. For my first-ever digital painting, I'm pretty proud of the outcome.

After I finished this one, I noticed he looked somewhat like Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist. So, I gave him some stubble to look more like the part.

Anatomy

I'm on a posting rampage here. Anyway, here's some stuff dealing with realistic anatomy.


Hands! Seems like my scanner didn't want to do a good job on picking up the subtle pencil shading. Still gives a good gist of what's going on, though.

Same problem with the scanner, but feet this time.
And finally, just sketching out some body proportions, along with trying to keep anatomical appearance. Didn't bother keeping this hyper-realistic, though.
